Bertie has a good game more often than not, and certainly made an impact in the time he had on the pitch today.

I think he's right to be honest. Yesterday, when Bertie came off the bench, was the first time for a long time that I've seen Bertie do what he's in the team for which, as wmm quite rightly states, is the midfield destroyer role. He got about the pitch and got into the opposition and stopped them playing consistantly. He hasn't doen that for months before yesterday. It would need for somebody to upset him first before he'd start to do his job but then because he is upset he'd go in rashly on somebody, pick up a bokking and get back in his box and go quiet again. I hope he took notes of what Joe Burnell was doing yesterday. He'd do well to do so.

yes mate Bertie has been a revelation this season, putting some bite in his tackles, mixing it with the opposing side. WELL DONE BERTIE KEEP IT UP. you dont see Harley get stuck in, too afraid to get hurt. rather see 4 Bertie in Midfield than a prima donna like Harley in the side
