Yes summer pitches can be a nightmare, luckily professional clubs know how to use a sprinkler or two so the concrete like summer surfaces only cause issues for amateurs.

If the game goes ahead let us hope that our forwards can pick a pocket "or two" !

The referee has inspected the pitch and is happy but he is going to keep assessing in run-up to kick-off. So, it’s game on, Bluebirds! (from Barrow Twitter feed)

Looks like Barrow have a heater and one of those grass growing lights - should be room on the team coaches for both to be repatriated back to Debon and keep players warm on way home !

According to one on the Barrow forum the referee isnt happy now. Watching the pitch on Ifollow and there is several groups on the pitch talking

Shock horror, if you have two inspections and temperatures are dropping you don't need the assistance of a rocket scientist to be very doubtful about this game.
