Exeweb Rail travel HQ or so it seems!!
Any large groups planning on going by train then I would strongly advise AGAINST going down on the 09:28 as it's only a 2 Carriage train with 142 seats and there is a risk not everyone will get on and it will only cause further problems on the way. The 10:19 has 8 Carriages and over 500 seats and I would strongly recommend getting on that one plus it has a buffet car whereas the 09:28 doesn't either.

Even 8 coaches was not enough Steve! Should've been 16!
(At least taking the 9.59 from St Tommys to NAbbot meant I at least had a seat for half the journey)

My advice seemed to work (I think) as the 09:28 wasn't that busy at all leaving Exeter but as predicted the train got rather busy from Totnes and Ivybridge.

What train did you manage to escape back on then mate?

Despite the best efforts of Keystone's finest (aided and abetted by Brent's own rent-a-bouncer squad) to herd us all AWAY from the station (despite the big digital sign saying "Trains Left, Coaches Right) and, apparently, right into the arms of Swilly's finest - who they'd graciously allowed out first in order to get the the best attack spots, I did manage to sneak through the cordon just in time to catch the 16.02 to Swindon - and a very relaxing journey it was (apart from a few gloating Scummers)

Did the rumoured 16.20 'special' actually run then?

About 15 of us followed that sign! Then found we were the only ones in Centrel park with no escort! The other 150 -200 City fans who were getting the train had turn right to get a escort to the station.Twice we nearly got a kick in! But lucky for us about 7 coppers saw we were right in the s*** & took control by taking us to the escort! I still can't understand why the digital sign said trains left & the police made everyone who caught the train go right! ^o)

Given that Central Perk is known ambush territory I swerved off and went the slightly longer way round back DOWN the A386.

No probs....at least I managed to escape the nOK Corral! [y]

Was going to follow the sign left but the OB took us to the right where it kicked off a bit by the Esso station. Police then blamed the fans saying we pushed them that way. Classic.

I didn't come back by train in the end and managed to get a lift back and was back home by half 4
