Here’s a link to a new blog by a stadium lover from Ireland. Branded ‘Hallowed Turf’ - the first piece is about his visit to SJP for the recent Stevenage match. It’s a warm and affectionate write up; he was quickly won over by all things Exeter City.

Great write up. Only suggestion that I would make is that next time he flies direct to Exeter (7:15 from Dublin on Aer Lingus) ;):)

Great write up. Two thoughts:-

is this guy a professional writer? If not , he should be!

He's already talking about 'next time'. We need to make him one of ours, and it looks as if, courtesy of several people mentioned in the article, that process is well under way.

Absolutely. Plainly, we're already [more than] halfway there. If the club / Trust chair was to write him a nice letter of appreciation, inviting him to join the Trust – or even, perhaps, offering him a year's honorary membership – that might help seal the deal!

PS As ever, fantastic work by Martin Weiler!

That really is a very well-written and considered piece. Next time he should bring a few mates.

We should at least put him in contact with "Irish Brian" as a potential travelling companion. Brian might even invite him around to his "Cat 'n' Fiddle" bar ! :)
