Question. When did ECFC last have x2 8000+ back to back LEAGUE attendances at home?

not sure but the last time we averaged over 4,000 for the year was 90/91. This year we are currently on 4,775 and with a big attendance it may push us over the 4,859 average that we had in the 89/90 season!

Sorry, but Burnley was "only" 7,544..and a home game v Scarborough (6,850) came in between anyway.
The answer (I think) is (rather astonishingly) 1964-65 when 10,218 turned up on the opening day of the season for Peterborough and 8,357 for the next home game v Mansfield.

The last occasion of 8,000+ for ANY two consecutive games was, of course, 1968-69 when 12,714 turned up for the Southend game (the Cup vouchers might have had something to do with it - and IIRC it was bleddy cold too!) followed by 18,500 for the Man Ure game.
The aboves makes what "the class of 08-09" has achieved even more gob-smacking IMHO! [y]
Oh, and PS: A crowd of more than 6,681 today and the attendance for the CHAMPIONSHIP season will have been beaten - I think we can consider that a "done deal" eh? In fact it will be the biggest season's attendance since 1965-66!!:-O
