3 Consecutive Promotions

I have a feeling Swansea and Carlisle have done it. Very probaly wrong though.

Just a thought like.

Swansea did it in 4 season. They spent 79/80 and 80/81 in what is now The Championship and Carlisle had 2 consecutive promotions in 63/64 and 64/65 but weren't promoted to the top flight until 73/74.

I think Wolves may have done it and Fulham nearly did, but fluffed just one season by a few points.

Watford went from the old 4th Div to the old 1st Div in not many more than 3 seasons under Graham Taylor in the late 70's early 80s... may not have been 3 consecutive though.

I think Northampton went from 4th to 1st Division back in the 60s

I well remember this as Theo Foley, who had been City's right back for a number of years, joined Northampton at that time and played all the way to the old First Division.

I believe he 's still involved with the game at Arsenal.

Carlisle won promotion from the 4th to 1st divisions in consequtive years and then also been relegated in consequtive years.
