Bloody horrendous. After thinking that all my past troubles were over but then having to go back into hospital for another 2 operations concerned with my brain tumour which was initially diagnosed in 2008.

Hopefully, at last, I now seem to be getting out of the woods but I'm still wary that something else might come along to knock the wind out of my sails.
Your not alone Les........I been fighting for survival since 2006 with knock backs like you....the only way I can deal with it is to live for now, have a larf as often as I can (cos there are loads of times spent crying!) and just think positive no matter what. Good luck to both of us and anyone else who is going to need it in 2012.[y]

Would not have realised that from reading your work on here Reggie.

Respect.

Best wishes to you too for 2012.

Never judge a book by it's cover Ali........that's what makes Exeweb good, you can be whoever you want to be (a few know me in real life and I'm just as bad!!!).

Good luck Reggie, and here's hoping for a better 2012 for you too. Hopefully if my latest fundraiser comes to fruition (visit all 92 League and 24 Conference grounds) next year we could arrange some sort of meet whilst I'm down there doing the south-west clubs.

The good thing for me though is at least my last 3 yearly MRI scans have shown no regrowth of the actual tumour itself.

This year has passed me by somewhat with no particular highs or lows.

I spent a week in August/September, i can't remember which, in real pain and unable to move properly after doing something to my back, but Manos, the big fat physio, sorted me out. He reckons i've got one leg longer than the other or something. Probably the worst thing about the experience was having to stand in the physio's room, just in my pants, with some fella i'd only met 5 minutes before looking me up and down whilst stroking his beard.

There was, up until about 2 weeks ago, a cloud of job uncertainty hanging over me and everyone else but that's passed, for now at least. Because of my circumstances, no mortgage, no kids, redundancy wouldn't be the end of the world, but i'd still rather not, thanks.

High wise, i am no longer in pain and still have a job.

2012 will be a year for pulling my finger out a bit.

Who would live in a house like this?

Why not start tomorrow?

With the EAC, for instance...

I know, the insults follow the Quizmater from thread to thread.

Have you spoken to Shabba's back about counting the votes yet?

Sunny Exeter again
Its been largely indifferent. I have a little girl who gets lovelier and sweeter by the day, a roof over my head and a job (for now). The constant public sector bashing and continued pay freeze as well as increasing risk of redundancy is incredibly wearing after a while but that aside I have a lot to be thankful for.

Hoping for a more settled 2012 but I somehow doubt it...

Is this preferrable to speaking to her front?

Anyway, 2011's been pretty good and fairly recession-proof, certainly better than 2009 and 2010. Was glad to see the back of those bastards.
