20-goal a season strikers aren't that easy to find, though.

There are currently 5 in League One;

Lambert (Southampton) 29
Barnard (Southampton) 24
Beckford (Leeds United) 24
Holt (Norwich) 24
Paynter (Swindon) 23

I'd have loved us to sign Grant Holt but we just can't compete with teams like Norwich.
Norwich`s success has been built on having 7 players hit double figures this season, relying on one or two players is a dangerous game

fleetwood could be a 20 goal a season striker cos hes done it before...

so if we did, would billy paynter score 20 goals in our team?

so all this we dont have a 20 goal a season striker is tosh seeing as all our strikers can score goals, its just we dont go all out to get shots out. you just need to look at the stats on the official site.

stanno has scored 8 from 25 shots...

pretty good record...

so thats one goal every 3.125 shots

Lambert has had 33 goals from 179 shots

so on average thats 1 goal every 5.42 shots

so our strikers cant take chances then?

And also there are a few out there who we could/should have went for, Jackson when he was at Rushden (although I know there were rumours that we did try), Morrison should have been targeted as he was always decent, maybe Constable as well.
We offered £50,000 for Constable some time ago, he chose not to move to East Devon.

Whoever mentioned Jordan Rhodes he was sold for £800,000 plus add ons.

No. it suggests Lambert is a much more natural goalscorer and they are not afraid to take a chance and miss a few to score a lot.

Conversely, it shows we don't make many chance.

Could be but the natural goalscorer tends to make something from nothing part of the time.

Who would live in a house like this?
That is how many goals we have scored in the last sixteen league games and imho opinion you cannot really blame many of the strikers.
Go on then, I will bite.

So who do you blame? Tisdale, I suppose.

Of course he does that's why he started the thread.

But just to balance things out last season we were 4th top scorers
and when we got Promoted out BSP we were top scorers!!
