Here's hoping but the pessimists on here and recent statements from Tis tend to knock the hope out of you. Ask me at 7pm when the team sheets are out, then I'll say whether you might be right or not.

Morning everyone - it looks like a warm sunny day in Devon and indications are that it will be busy tonight so can I suggest you allow plenty of time to collect any tickets or buy a seat tickets as queues could be long. If you wish to choose a particular seat it would be better do online or by phoning the club before 2 today and then collect it from the booth.

The OS suggests that ticket prices "have been kept at the same reduced rate as the opening round of the competition when adults could get into the stadium from £15, students £5 and under-18s £2."

I swear it was a tenner vs Brentford. Any ideas?

Making the long drive down to Exeter from Accrington in an hour or so. It's about time we beat a Premiership side.

You go me on the alarm clock
Played well against Sunderland and lost (with no shame in the defeat)
Played well against Liverpool and drew (with a lot of pride in the result)

Here's hoping we put out our best possible lineup tonight (fitness and fatigue permitting) and play well. After that the result will be what it is - but the OP is right, particularly if Hull play a weakened side, an upset is on the cards.

It's currently 22c about 400m from SJP. It's humid, with wispy high level cloud. We've had no rain in the last 24 hours and the wind is a gentle SW breeze blowing 1-2. The ground is probably going to be rock hard, good for playing football on the ground. Not something you have to mention too often in reporting on City, but I think rehydration is going to be an important factor, in view of the humidity. The sun could also play an important part in the first half, it was low and glaring until it went down in the match against Crawley. Update around 17:30

I think there should be someone at the entrance to the Main Stand selling cheap'n'cheerful ECFC peaked caps for a fiver before evening games when it's sunny...
