    And hes on!

I was at Stadium:MK on Sunday, giving Posh some support, as I live in Peterborough. Didn't see Jonesy warming up at all in the first half, even though it was obvious Lewis was injured. I think Jonesy was just a bit unprepared. Flapped at the ball a bit for the the first goal, under pressure from...

    Charlton Vs City Matchday Thread

Just over 1000 away fans? Looked and sounded like double that! What a great second half. So proud of the side. Played like lions and didn't sit back when they took the lead.

Can't believe how poor City are tonight. You really would think they'd WANT another Wembley trip. Where's their motivation?

Weston's just too fast for our defence, and Hamer looks totally disinterested.

    Moxey to leave Derby

Not seen the Clough slaughtering Deano report, but this is from This Is Derbyshire: Nigel Clough said the transfer of Moxey was for football and not financial reasons. "We had an offer from Crystal Palace and it was the right thing to do to give them the opportunity to talk to him," added...

Thanks for the recommendation! Took 30 secs to install, runs on a Mac and it works perfectly! Wish I'd known about it an hour ago...

True - But I'd been wondering when we'd last been higher than 8th. Well done City for a great result today!

I think the last time we were in a higher position in the third tier was 19th October 1991 when a 5-2 home win over Bury put us in 5th place.

I've no faith in Fleetwood, but now's the time for him to prove he's worthy of being called a striker...

Tranmere v Exeter city Matchday thread

Nothing to lose (apart from the match) at this point. Got to push forwards. Sadly, that unbeaten run only yielded 15 points... too many drawn games. I think the remaining homes will be tough - two sides looking for promotion/play-offs. Still, City have don well against top-half teams, but...

    ECFC V Carlisle matchday thread

Oh dear no... City seem to be lurching from good to poor game by game. Am concerned by lack of consistently effective strike force at this level. And if City the teams below us continue to average 1 point per game, then we'll be in the relegation zone in a month.

    ECFC v Brighton Matchday thread

Agreed, but I think a striker is more crucial - after all, you don't win matches just by preventing the opposition scoring. We need to be getting goals... and missing a penalty at that point in today's match is very poor indeed.

Plenty of chances created in the games I've seen this season - but way to few converted.

Quite simply we don't have anyone in the squad capable of consistent scoring. A striker is a must ASAP. And get shot of Fleetwood even sooner. He just doesn't cut it at this level.

    Walsall v Exeter Matchday Thread

Scoring goals (or rather NOT scoring them) seems to be the biggest problem... Have only been able to get to the Charlton match so far this season, but the quality of football played by City was excellent. The finishing much less so. At this level consistent, proven, frequent goal-scorers are a...
