What a win! Like Tuesday night not always the greatest performance but great resilience, organisation and effort off the ball meant that for all Wigan's possession we saw the game out reasonably comfortably without Vil being seriously tested. What makes it all the more impressive is that Wigan didn't play in mid-week so should have had more energy than us. And with four deflected goals in a row it feels we've had more luck in these two games than the whole of October and November but no-one at City will be complaining.

We do seem to suit playing away, 10th in the league on away results vs 18th at home - go a goal up and we're difficult to break down

It's not flowing football but it's become effective again and starting to feel like we can breathe a bit in regards to staying up

Hard to pick a MOTM today as they all worked hard in a workmanlike performance so wasn't any particular stand outs - perhaps Cole?
