So if we held meetings on match days then it is more likely that all could attend in person?
UTC
That has been tried previously, having hustings before a match. The drawbacks were time constraints and a number of key individuals having various matchday duties. The Trust AGM has always been held in this manner too, in order to make it easier for those attending from a distance. An unforseen problem is likely to occur this year, as the matchday chosen is Peterborough at home. This happens to be an International break weekend which may result In a postponement. Should that occur, will the AGM still go ahead with the risk of not enough members attending to constitute a quorum ?

There was a hint of sarcasm in my post aimed at NeilLM. Don't worry he doesn't read Exeweb, but I am sure he will make himself available via Zoom or Teams at Trust Board Meetings, whereupon he can identify as himself or any other appropriate name. of his choosing

I agree with FBH that there have been ads / disads for candidates in the process so far but given that there were only 29 individuals on the Zoom meeting last night when I left it when it appeared to be hijacked by unpleasant individuals then may be any "damage" can be corrected by written responses by all ?
29 out of the apparent 4000 trust members attending last night appears to indicate that Zoom hustings needs reviewing anyway.
Overall the process needs to set clear ground rules for all concerned including trial by Exeweb etc
UTC & good luck to all candidates - can someone confirm when votes must be cast ?
Hijacked by unpleasant individuals? I didn’t see that, but I couldn’t watch for long. Doesn’t sound good though, what a shame.

And my real name is Fred Binneyshead.

Thanks Pete, I don’t mean to labour the point but Neil, Al and Debbie will now have time to consider their responses to the questions set which puts them at an advantage over the others, yet it was them who were unable to attend.

Anyway, I’ve made my point, I’ll get back in my box now 👍

I am posting to address a recent misunderstanding regarding my candidacy for the Trust election, and I want to ensure that accurate information is available to our football supporters community here on Exeweb and beyond.

I am deeply committed to the Trust and firmly believe that my participation will contribute to a brighter future for our football club. To provide some context, I am a support bar staff member at the club, and before officially entering the election, I had conversations with HR and management to discuss my candidacy. Their support, including that the HR & Trust Secretary, was unequivocal.

Furthermore, my work schedule was set before formally expressing my intention to run for the election. Upon receiving confirmation of my candidacy, I promptly communicated with the secretary about my availability for the proposed Hustings date. In an effort to make the event as accessible as possible, I suggested moving it to a Saturday following one of our home games, a suggestion that would have allowed all candidates, including myself, to participate conveniently.

Unfortunately, this suggestion was not accepted, and I found myself excluded from the Hustings. I made several requests for my proposal to be shared with all candidates privately via email through the secretary, but regrettably, this did not happen.

What distresses me most is the misinformation that was circulated by Pete here on Exeweb who is a trustee, claiming that I withdrew from the event at the last minute. This is entirely untrue and unacceptable. I have always been eager to answer any questions posed to me and would have been more than willing to do so on the spot during the Hustings.

I kindly ask you to take a moment to read my manifesto and consider voting for me in this election. I understand that some may have already cast their votes, potentially influenced by the false belief that I made myself unavailable. I urge everyone, whether you are a Trust member or not, to engage in this critical decision-making process.

I appreciate your time and support, and I am genuinely saddened that I had to respond to this situation in this manner. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for our community football club.

Suggest Gary hotfoots it down to the Trust AGM (assuming he is a member) and asks for some of the almost £1M in reserves for a striker. Jayden Stockley for 100k?

I have voted for you also. If people have to pass a "skills test" to be a Trust Board member then we have seriously lost our way. Concerned that a mass organisations idea of celebrations are events for worthies.

GC should ask the Club first. It ought to have plenty of cash.
