We know where that 1m will be going then…just employed 4 new directors, how about getting 4 new players!

It’s not all about money though, helping us get up the division would be priceless. Obviously the club doesn’t see it like that… another £1m to finish off painting up the training ground and the big bank toilets is more important.

Joel Randall has had his head turned by a club 2 leagues above us and one of which like us progresses players careers. There is very little we can do and it looks like we have properly held out for our valuation for the player which is all we can do.

No other league 2 side would turn down a £1.5m offer for a player almost regardless of owner.

Improving the infrastructure and the playing squad aren't mutually exclusive – indeed, it's entirely conceivable that the former will assist with the latter. Terry Cooper used to tell a tale of how he'd meet prospective signings at the motorway service and take them straight to the Cat & Fiddle rather than go anywhere near the ground cause it was, not to put too fine a point on it, 'a shithole'.

Like many others, I'm disappointed with the apparent lack of 'marquee' signings this summer and gutted that Joel appears set to leave, but if you think either of these things is a result of 'painting up the training ground or the big bank toilets' I'd suggest you're well wide of the mark.

I'm sure the money is there to make two or three 'marquee' signings, it's just a case of getting the right player at the right price, which, it seems, is easier said than done. Broadcast the fact we have money to burn and you risk paying over the odds and destabilising the rest of the squad.

He's under contact, you don't know that anyway. If Tagg had told him we were strongly going for League 1...why the hell would he want to go to Peterborough or Stockport! he's playing with his mates, hes only 21 im sure he wasnt desperate to leave...however the club is desperate to sell.
