Will have been good experience for those U18s ahead of Saturday's cup game away at Stevenage on Saturday.

The timing of fixtures hasn’t been ideal . A Sunday previously meant ruling out anyone in the first team squad that weekend. This Thursday fixture not great for those having to play two lots of 90 minutes in under 48 hours, with a decent length journey in between. Might be good experience for future league football, but doesn’t maximise our chances of getting through.

Is the Leicester game next Monday still on? Given we're playing Peterbrough in the Checkatrade on the Tuesday.

Tonight in the East Midlands the mighty ECFC U23's take on Leicester City memories of 80/81 come flooding back albeit twas at Filbert Street not Holmes Park 7.00 p.m. kick off
