Don't think Bairstow is the answer for no.3. Where's David Gower when you need him?
Typical. I say that and Bairstow scores 73 not out. Ha ha.

If it helps I wouldn't have had Bairstow at 3 either, but he has seized his chance.

Best England player by far in the last 18 Months - 2 Years - and there are a few to choose from

Really? Since the start of the 2017 English season he has averaged 31.

Joe Root in comparison has averaged 47.

Loving the free flowing entertaining football at S
Fair play to bairstow hes been harshly treated and has batted superbly for England for a long time - delighted to see him get a 100 he’s a class act

An average of 37 at test level as a keeper is decent - if he’s not going to get the gloves back he will go onto average 50 just as a bat he’s world class

It helps a little bit.
I just feel that no. 3 should be a class batsman, and I don't think Bairstow is that man.

Excellent all-round performance by England so far. Jennings, Bairstow, Rashid, Stokes, Foakes and Leach have all played significant parts in our 1st innings lead, with useful back-up.
Really like this team.
