Without having looked on here, I had a quick glance at the Mansfield forum and for the most part they said we were (often "comfortably") the better side and will be up there at the end of the season.

Odds now closing in varying from 10/1 - 12/1 for the title - fourth favourites behind Lincoln MK and Colchester - so they aren't the only ones who think so

I think referees pretty soon determine that Stockley goes flat on his back at the slightest opportunity; that tactic backfires when he really gets fouled.

There is an element of truth in what you say. Stockley gives as good as he gets, however he doesn't get the number of fouls given in his favour that he should.

Stockley also has a reputation for chucking his elbows around, opposition players often get onto the officials about it looking to get him sent off, see Lincoln two weeks ago.

I saw it more as them trying to create a reputation in the mind of the referee.

Lincoln can’t be used as an example of anything. They out-Wycombe Wycombe in the play acting stakes and complaining to the referee at every perceived incident. In fact, it’s just plain cheating to gesticulate repeatedly to the referee that a player has used his elbow when quite clearly he hasn’t.

If only Youtube had a link to Matt Rhead's thuggery in the EFL Trophy final (?), as something to be trotted out whenever Lincoln complain about oppositions being physical.
