It wasn't only 2% that voted, only 2% approximately of the membership were present at the AGM, and just as well as even with that number some were standing in the corridor, but as the motion had been well publicised beforehand creating a great deal of discussion of the topic, there were a lot of proxy votes as well.

The impression I got from reading on here was that only 60 odd people actually voted.

Well there you are. We form an image of people as when we read a novel, but the image can be totally different from reality. I decided not to mention the paunch but agree a few pints can

In fact, I did think I was watching an out-take from "The Three Musketeers (or should that be Must Get Beers?) interspersed with some bits of football. (Oh, and in other bits you were positively bouncing and singing along, so a brief moment of phone obsession is forgiven.)
