Ethan Ampadu Named in EFL Cup Team of the Week

The performance by Ethan Ampadu in the EFL Cup tie on Tuesday night in Exeter’s 1-0 win over Brentford was recognised by the match sponsors. They awarded him man of the match, quite an honour for a debutant, let alone a 15 year old boy playing a competitive match in a professional competition.

Now the English Football League (EFL) have recognised his performance and have included him in the EFL Cup team of the week. In that team, he joins previous Exeter academy graduate Tom Nichols who scored two goals for Peterborough United in their 3-2 win over AFC Wimbledon.

The full team is:-
