Fluminense Confirm Ticket Arrangements for Exeter City Match

A limited number of tickets are available to Fluminense fans for this game that will take place at Fluminense’s former ground Laranjeiras Stadium.

Fluminense also confirm that Exeter City will be playing an under 23 Fluminense team.

The first game was played  by the Seleção was on July 21, 1914, in Orange, which also commemorated the 12 years of Fluminense. Birthplace of Brazil’s opener, the Tricolor will hold a big party to celebrate 100 years of the historical game and 112 years of the club, with the under-23 team facing Exeter City, England, first opponent of Brazilians. The international friendly will be played at the historic stadium, on June 20 (Sunday) at 10.30 am.

The sale of invitations to the ceremony will begin next Monday, 14, and will close Saturday, 19, from 10am to 18pm at the entrance of the Trophy counter. Partners will be entitled to a very limited quota of one individual ticket. Tickets will cost £50 for members (after the gratuities are exhausted) and £60 for non-members.

The opening ceremony speeches will have a representative of Fluminense, Exeter City, the CBF and the British Consulate. There will be exhibition of ball game played in 1914 and the national anthems of Brazil and England will run. The winner of the game will take the Cup Marcos Carneiro de Mendonça, in honor of the first National Team goalkeeper, who played for the Tricolor. The English team will receive commemorative plaque for the ceremony and the 100 years of celebrations.
