Former Loanee Rodgers Signs for Oldham Athletic

Anton Rodgers who spent some time with Exeter City has signed today for Oldham Athletic, according to their official site.

The former Chelsea trainee and son of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers played 2 games for anton_rodgers2_thumbthe Grecians while on loan. The defeats at Rotherham and Chesterfield. He looked a good prospect and after being released by Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of last season, it was hoped that Exeter City could have found the budget to sign him.

However, he’s been on trial with League 1 sign Oldham and has now signed a deal.

Speaking to their site, Anton said:

It has always been in my heart to play football, and my Dad never forced it on me. I look on it as a positive to have him involved in the game as he gives me lots of advice and we are always talking football.

I have never found it a pressure and coped with it well and always tried to remain humble.
