Yikes! Another lad - rejected elsewhere and living a long way away - joins City at 16 and moves home to do so. Its the Cheickh Diabate route. It involves immense sacrifice - Cheickh moved into digs and presumably Aamir will do the same (?) (by contrast the parents of the 16 year old who lived next door to me all moved to London for two years when she got a place at an esteemed stage school there).

Great interview by Scott. Fancy at 16 having to talk to camera like that; Aamir was impressively articulate and straightforward. Scott's technique is superb - simple one sentence, one issue questions delivered in a calm way bringing the best out of the interviewee

(such a pleasant contrast to the modern style increasingly seen on tv of the lengthy, convoluted, often irrelevant introduction/question 'you've won 3 out of four games, how difficult will these opponents be, but this leaves you just out of the play offs, you must be confident, so how important is your need to continue your momentum?')

Crikey that's some high praise! As you said, the secret is to keep it conversational and make sure the person is comfortable, after that it's simple!

If only all interviewers realised the interview is about the person being interviewed and not them. You do a first class job Scott, as do all of our SM team.

Would be good if our Social Media team were recognised by us fans in some form - could Exeweb afford a P up for them ?

The pilgrims claimed all 3 points after the Grecians went down to 10 men.

Although the results won't look like it, the experience of playing such a young side at this stage in the season (no second years at all in the squad) will hopefully pay dividends in the long run. Especially with second years getting experience of men's football on loan.

Looks like that lot 40 mileish W have taken over the SW Best Academy status - could be used to lure more Exeter boys W like Michael Cooper !
