Match report from the Bournemouth game https://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/news/2018/august/under-18sreport/
The main thing is their development, not the results week on week, although of course it's nicer to win than to lose. Three matches ago we beat Bournemouth away. However, it is possible that sooner or later we might have a couple of barren years regarding producing players of League quality : the academy has already done really well so can't expect them to produce the goods every time. Development is a funny old game. Look at Storey : suddenly came from nowhere to being a very good centre back at Div 2 level. So what's going on here? We've already had several defeats this season; are this years U18's not as good as we've become accustomed to over the last few years?
Possibly the result of moving some real youngsters up into the squad this year, who may take a time to adjust, but who hopefully will stand us in good stead going forwards ?So what's going on here?
