The stories concerning Harry & Meghan and Airforce 1 use quote-marks for their revelations.
The Mail even qualifies it with 'allegedly'.
There isn't a hard fact anywhere that I can see.
Well yeah. But because we live in a world where there exists people like Egg, who cling to random nutbag's twitter rantings, this is just how things play out these days. 🤷‍♂️

Harry & Meghan had to travel to California.
Air Force 1 landed in Washington DC.

The distance between the two is nearly 2,700 miles - another 4 and three quarter hours by plane.

But, you know, 'America'.

How dare this couple question the motives of some of the scrupulously honest and impartial British press?

I'm shocked I tell ya.
A small price to pay for the glory and publicity opportunity of travelling with POTUS and this pair don't actually give a to55 about their own carbon footprint.

As you say still only allegedly.

On this basis, surely it's more important to put press on the press to be factual?

I tend to align with your take on how things play out but I'd amend 'things play out these days' to 'things have played out for the last 10 years at least'.

There is a newish strategy and that is to throw it onto social media for amplification and muddying up.
Then, if need be, plead surprise at how the story has been 'received'
This is when quote marks and 'allegedly' come in really handy.

With Dan Wotton - plenty has been alleged and absolutely nothing proven so I'm happy to wait and see if there is meat on those bones and, if not, he's welcome to sue if he wishes.

What I do find curious is the absolute disinterest shown by the usual scandal vandals in the media in any aspect of the story until recently.
Especially when you compare it with the almost floor-level threshold for hit jobs on those the press take against.

Apparently, Chas is due a hefty pay rise in the next couple of years up to a hefty £126 million pa. Cushty.

Explains QC turning down the piffling £360,000 pa consort stipend recently….small change no longer required.
I'd like to add an important amendment to this. This isn't a pay rise, it's so that the general public can pay to make improvements to one of his many houses.

So just the £345 million of our money being spent on the royals this year. Yet somehow despite paying for it they remain exempt from things like the freedom of information act. Surely they've nothing to hide?

Dunno, seems after the recent reveal Hunt and Sunak have had a hasty recalibration. Crown coining it in by renting out the royal shoreline for wind turbines and appears Chas’ slice not increased after all - he’ll just have to muddle along with £86 million this year, and Buck House refurbished !

This scary photo looks like something from the Munsters or Addams family

Shirley Macron’s granny is a waxwork model from Madame Tussaud’s and Queen Camilla looks as if she has risen from a coffin. Macron looks as if someone has stuck a baguette where the sun don’t shine

Perhaps he should consider when coming over see his father instead of all this court stuff, Think he has about 5 court proceedings to deal with. I guess he's trying to make him and his wife relevant to Netflix because after dishing dirt on the RF Netflix realise H&M have nothing to offer. Spotify realised this sooner and cancelled their podcast contract.

If he were to stay away permanently, he wouldn't need any UK security. Sorted.
