The second goal from Argentina against the Strines has sent Pate into meltdown
Australia can be proud of that performance

Thing is the way managers want teams to play out from the back, embarrassments like that will always happen.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
For all of the off field controversy surrounding this tournament. It’s been entertaining on the field. A few bonkers results & eliminations at the group stage.

Argentina for all of their control of the game this evening could have so easily have been pushed into ET after they were 2-0 up & cruising.

Watching France v Poland this afternoon it’s struck me that I think Olivier Giroud is an underrated player and doesn’t get the recognition his achievements deserve.
His goal today means he overtakes Thierry Henry as France’s all time leading goalscorer.
They both have over 100 caps but Giroud has played fewer times than Henry.
Domestically Giroud has won league titles in France and in Italy and 4 F.A. Cup winner’s medals.
He’s also won the Europa League, the Champions League and has already won the World Cup once.
Mind you, depending on today’s results, his attempts to win a second will hopefully be thwarted by England!

He isn't a "sexy" player in a Messi/Ronaldo generation but he is a player who knows what his strengths are and fits in as part of any team who need a centre forward to hold the ball up and score at a very good rate with feet and head. He has done the business for every team he has played for. Very underrated as you say.
