Not sure about that, Next season they'll have to get over 60 points to survive, If they did the -12 would take them back to 48 points, Normally that'll take you down, Plus trying to get players in with that around their neck.
Yes, but al least they’ll have a chance of staying up whereas a deduction for 2019/20 would have dumped them at the bottom of the table...also cleared of not acting in bad faith, yeah right.

On the pitch Cook did his job, Off the pitch a very dodgy takeover in May only to go into administration a couple months later! 🤔
Supposedly the owner was desperate to get rid as his ownership of a loss-making EFL club was threatening a bid to gain a license to open up a super-casino in Manilla (the latter being a being a more profitable venture than the former).

No surprise there, In Admin they'll have to pay their lawyers for the appeal, Not exactly cash fluid are they?

This story just beggers belief, This whole sorry saga show's the EFL "Fit & Proper" test is not fit for purpose.

Robert Maxwell would pass it no doubt...A crook of the highest order in his time, until he went for unscheduled swim.

Without regulatory powers, what are the EFL to do though? They and the PL have a Owners and Directors test but haven't really got any powers beyond seeing if they are disqualified or have funds, certification to be provided by the prospective owner or director. Look at the stick the PL have got from all and sundry including MP's for delaying the Newcastle take over. All because the Saudi Investment Fund wouldn't provide documentation on who actually controls the funds. They actually done the right thing and got hammered for it.

They really could do with an independent body that had some regulatory powers to do more thorough checks of their own rather than rely on self certification and promises.

Another twist in this saga, On the face of it a positive one but who knows what's in the small print.
