If the club Don’t keep Deano then that is a shocker as he has a wealth of experience in the game and would be a huge asset on and off the pitch.
Nah, get rid. Great servant but it's time for new blood, he's had a decent enough season but he didn't pull up any trees, he can't play at LB any more due to his lack of pace and he only really looks capable of playing CB when it's part of a three. Unless it was in a coaching capacity, there's no place for him now. Thank you Deano, great memories, but goodbye.

We cannot just fill the team with academy players as they would get eaten alive, I remember when Hartridge got destroyed at Northampton and was taken off at half time, it was way to soon for him.

Big reason to keep Deano at the club, experienced player who came from the city and made it to the premier league and would help young players.
Wasn't that Northampton game two seasons ago?? And his league debut?

Kids grow up fast you know, Ollie Watkins was p!ssing about for Weston Super Mare, then a year later he'd won our goal of the season award, a PFA Young Player of the Month Award, EFL Young Player of the Month Award and scored 10 goals in 22 games. Less than a year after that he'd won the EFL Young Player of the Year Award and moved for 1.8 million, a club record fee.

There's no reason to think that Alex Hartridge is anything like the same player that struggled in that game, so so long ago.

People only seem to remember this one game with Hartridge. He played before at home and looked quite the part to the point where I thought he was really unlucky to lose his place for the next game.

The premier league thing is often mentioned about Moxey.

My recollection is that he played a handful of games in the PL and looked total out of his depth. Palace were so bad they sacked their manager and the new manager never played Moxey again.

I believe he played well at home to grimsby where we managed to lose having had about 30 shots. Daylight robbery springs to me.

A handful of games in the Prem is still a handful more than most L1 and L2 players will ever experience.

It was 9 March 2019 and Hartridge had a mare. Subbed at HT. As has been said, you cannot judge the lad on that 45 minutes of football.

Interesting to compare the March 2019 line ups to the Wembley line ups. Lots of changes.
