The Magpie Inn, Carlisle.

A pub with its own bowling green.

Went to the new local last night. It might be just me used to paying village prices or buying something a bit out of the norm £7+ for two pints sounded a bit steep to me.
We thought the food was a bit pricey too although thought the décor was very nice and plenty of outside space. I take it you are a Cranbrook resident then?

The Metropolitan Bar outside Baker Street tube on Sunday. Pleasantly surprised to be able to buy three pints for less than £12.

Compared to the rural charms and quiet life of Winkleigh.................................... it's a hole.
