Never done this before
Having arrived early in Camden for the Camper Van gig on Wednesday, I found myself having a pint in the Hawley Arms, the pub made famous mainly through being the "local" of Amy Winehouse. Had Hopback's Crop Circle on tap, but I went for a Hoegaarden instead.

As one might expect from a Camden boozer, it was full of people in silly hats.
I used to drink in there back in the 80s, was a rough old pub then. Didn't know about the Winehouse connection.

I concur with Chucks. Vile stuff and stupidly over-priced to boot.

Who would live in a house like this?

You would change your tune soon enough if it was the cheapest lager.

Since when have the Dutch known anything about beer, anyway?

Who knows? But let me reassure you that Hoegaarden (pronounced who-chharde) is a Belgian white beer. It's okay.

Ah yes, the Belgians. Aren't they the ones who put fruit in their beer?

Their saving grace is that they didn't invent Heineken.
