Chianti. I'm feeling posh because it had an actual cork, not a plastic one or a screw top 🙂

Having rewatched the excellent BBC Auf Wiedersen Pet yarn set in Cuba, it simply had to be rum tonight, so a large bacardi and coke !

Homebrewed 7% NEIPA. Plenty of flaked oats and whole wheat husks, then dry hopped with Idaho7, El Dorado and (my favourite hop variety,) Azacca.

Mainly subdued peach and apricot flavours with a hint of pineapple/citrus sharpness at the finish.
Very quaffable. The juiciness completely hides any hint of alcohol taste which is rather dangerous.

Some 50 year old Calvados which I acquired from un paysan in the beautiful Pays d’Auge many years ago. Sadly he has died and no more available from that source

Yep as the gite owner who introduced him to me said

“He is as aged in oak as long as his Calvados”

Loosely translated.
