So keep your speculation and distribution theories in the lockdown thread or better still start a new thread where you know everything about creating / trialling / distribution a working vaccine micky !

BTW I will probably be looking at next season rather than anything at all this season at SJP !
The Politics/ Lockdown/ Football at SJP threads all.intertwine, Ramone. The vaccine issue is relevant to all those threads. Unlike you to be so pedantic . No vaccine then probable few or no fans at SJP. Now don't be so niggly and settle down .😉
It will be a bloody shame if half the Watkins' money is used up to cover our losses, but at least we have it.
Yes, it's not looking great for SJP. IIRC if we don't play 25 games the season is cancelled.

Nice words from Parry, but after 6 months the League has achieved nothing AFAIK regarding helping out the lower league clubs. We need action, not words.

The problem is that while Government remains in total risk averse mode, fearing a massive shitstorm should things go wrong, nothing significant is going to be offered. If they help the FL, then the Rugby, Cricket, Hockey, Tennis fraternity et al, will all be lined up with their hands out. France is allowing supporters in limited numbers at the top level and there is no sensible reason why a system can't be found to allow this in the UK...It's patently ridiculous, but this incompetent Government has given up on governing and now is engaged in focus group reaction with people who have no real investment in finding a workable solution.

They never had a plan so they had nothing to give up on. They're playing it by ear but their hearing is not good. We all know politicians are the last people to sort.things out. Organisation and coordination non - existent. They should have handed the whole project over to a major oil company, which has logistics, SHE, procurement, transport, legal & IT ++ departments plus a whole load of other very smart folks. Govt should stay out of it

Sadly, amongst the broader public I fear that cries from the professional game for financial help will face on deaf ears when they read, daily, the frankly obscene amounts of money being "spaffed" by the handful of clubs in the Premier League (and, to a lesser extent, some in the Championship)

I fear that we ALL will be tarred with the same brush when it comes to sympathy.

Should the FA (or even better, FIFA) be considering a "transfer levy scheme" whereby at least a small percentage of the monies being spent on fees (transfer AND agents and even the offered wages as well) goes into a pool to help sustain the many, many clubs lower in the football food chain.

Utopian I know, but worth a thought?

From what I heard in a report somewhere, the government are not so much concerned about limited crowds in the stadiums, but the crowds gathering outside the stadiums, going to pubs, cafés etc...
