Judging by the recent broadcast we are heading for a further lockdown and sorry to be a wet blanket another close down of live sport.
Not behind closed doors, To my knowledge there has not been a mass increase of infections amoung the football community and because they are able to manage it (Not withstanding idiot individual footballers who think its ok to party somewhere or with someone) Football is in a bubble as is most sport without fans and i think can still play on. As for us getting back to SJP anytime soon, Forget it! :(

Just checked. They are 11 pounds per test. I'm sure there would be a lot of people willing to pay this to watch a game of football. Maybe have it subsidised by the EFL.
You're right, it looks like the costs have massively reduced. However, I still can't see mass testing at events as a solution. The cost of the actual test to manufacture may only be £11, but there will be associated costs in terms of the staff and facilities necessary to administer the tests and run the results. I can't see how that could be safely done at somewhere like SJP. The monetary costs would have to be passed onto the supporters as the Clubs and the EFL are no way going to underwrite them.

For a start they could put a levy on all the Premiership millions and distribute it to grass roots football, just a petty quarter of a million from each would do it.
I watched Aston Villa v Sheffield Utd last night. Not because I’m in the habit of following the PL , I can’t stand all the hype and waffle from all the hangers on , but because I wanted to see how young Ollie got on.Listening to the idle talk on the monies being spent on transfer fees it came home , yet again , what other worlds these teams live in.
Yes , if this goes on too long the smaller professional and amateur teams will be wiped out without a tear from the ‘top’ clubs or the hangers on commentators and pundits. After all the Premiership is the only thing that’s really important isn’t it?

Given that Covid-19 cases have been rising across the UK for a while, this is no surprise.

Agreed. Makes our decision not to spend the Watkins cash seem very sensible, although at this rate we'll be in a mini-league with Salford, Forest Green and Mansfield as every other club in League 2 will have gone bust.

Then merge with League 1 and the National League. If it goes on too long they’ll have to shelve the lower leagues for this season.
