Finishes 3-2 to West Ham but reads like a tremendous effort from our youngsters. West Ham able to bring on internationals from across Europe, bloody good effort well done lads

From their blog
Full-time: A big sigh of relief echoes around Rush Green Stadium as the referee blows the full-time whistle!

We were made to work for them by a talented Exeter team, but for the way we ended both halves, I'd suggest the points were fully warranted by the young Hammers.

Late strikes from Bernardo Rosa and Kamarai Swyer inside the final five minutes sealed the victory, after Harrison Ashby had equalised from Nelson Iseguan's first-half finish and Josh Coley had put the young Grecians back ahead in the second half.

We also finished with a very young team, mostly under-19's, I think.

yes, Lee 16,Cox just turned 17,Pond 17, Lilley and Neville also 17 (?they both played for the u18s on Saturday) plus Charlie Hanson (is he under 18 as well?)

So half the City team that finished were U18s. Perhaps that was the difference between the sides - their bench was much stronger than ours.
