It wasn't to be, then. Saracens are a tough bunch.

I had the same thought. Reverse fortunes of last season.
And me... .....

A good team but highly unpopular with teams and supporters in the Aviva Prem - they weren't called the "Saffacens" for nothing. However, their South African part-owners have called it a day leaving the club chairman Nigel Wray to presumably bankroll the club on his own - even though the club are in the red - or is it the brown? by over £45million.

This will give you some idea why they, among other, were highly unpopular just a few years ago...

Henry Slade of the Exeter Chiefs wins his 11th cap as he lines up at outside centre alongside Owen Farrell for England v's South Africa on Saturday. Coverage starts at 3:00pm (ko 4:00pm). On the bench are Chiefs players Luke Cowan-Dickie (hooker) and Harry Williams(tight head prop).

Much the same for the Chief's players in the England team for the second test against South Africa in Bloemfontein on Saturday 16th (Sky Sport channel 401 kick off 4:05)

With the ever-slowing Chris Robshaw dropped and if Maru Itoge can keep the penalty count down we should win this. Those bleating for the inclusion of Danny Cipriani should get their wish if he comes off the bench later in the game. England by 20pts.
