Bowman does appear to offside watching this.

1st half shocking. 2 half much better with City getting into the mix. Good equaliser and at that point there was only one team in it. City get a 2nd and very wrongly chalked out by some inept officials. Guy on end on right keeping Bowman in the middle onside when ball was kicked. Game changed after that as Walsall got a bit more luck from the guys in black and a 2nd wind. Definitely a game changer that wrong call. _20200308_075555.JPG

It’s a fair point. What’s more, in Maxted’s last 16 starts we lost just once.

Of course, there’s more to it than who’s between the sticks, but can’t help thinking if Maxted was fit he’d be starting.

Maxted made a lot of vital saves back when we were getting clean sheets he was picking up MOM awards appearing in team of the week sides and also collected a player of the month award...Ward has yet to return to his pre injury form IMO.

From that angle the offside decision certainly looks dodgy. Crucial moment.

Dodgy?!?!?!! That picture from Rog quite clearly shows it was a p!$$ poor decision. The Walsall defender is level with the spot and Bowman is the right side of it.

Never done this before
Looks offside to me. I'm still looking for the defender on the back post

Look at post #263 then, which shows the rest of your defenders in the box, one of them clearly playing Ryan onside.

And as others have said, it wasn't so much 'was it/wasn't it offside', it was more the way it was retrospectively decided (without the aid of VAR of course) despite the linesman not having raised his flag. Gutting to have a goal taken away, and complete loss of faith in how the game was being officiated.

Not sure if this was before or after one of your players should have walked for that assault on Richardson.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
I remember Bowman had a goal chalked off at Port Vale a couple of months ago with a similar tight call(again he was marginally onside) at least there the Linesman put his flag up !

I was sitting with citytilidie72.He said after the PV disallowed goal he did not celebrate until looking at the Linesman...He was still pi55ed off even with the flag not going up !!!

From that pic taken behind the goal,it was obviously onside. It's the usual League 2 standard.

What I take from this is the way we fall apart when something goes against us.Where are the leaders on the pitch that will stop the team losing focus? This has been noticeable since Port Vale. It's a shame that Warren is getting on in years,he is exactly what we need in that role.

Therefore it was dodgy.
