Yes, but there were legs on that one (did study it intensely at the time). There was enough concern for us to stop ours having the 3 in one hit (MMR). We have given them both a separate measles jab privately however as I felt that one in particular needed doing. Now mulling over the mumps vaccine for them.
My kids were young at that time and we saw and read stories virtually weekly on the MMR/Autism link but we went along with them having it, No side effects thankfully, I genuinely can't remember any "Legs" on that story that has been debunked since.

These kind of stories from actual GP's (American) doesn't help.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1249737

It's crazy that he boasts of him and his staff not wearing masks to treat suspected Covid patients and attacking mask wearing saying there is no science behind wearing them and they attack your civil liberties. It's good that he and his staff did not get ill but then at the end of the article he states he makes his patients who show symptoms to wear masks 🤦.
Isn't that the point!

It seems that a few people (including again Jeremy Hunt) think that some people might continue wearing masks when in confined areas when they have colds as happens in the far East.

This.

The gloatage has me reaching for the sick bag.

It has yet to be proved that this vaccine will work as well as the drug company says. Money could be talking here, then we have the roll out to be managed by dysfunctional government agencies.

Anyone remember: world beating track & trace, we will have this thing beaten in three months, a normal Christmas will be possible, a second lockdown is a nuclear option we cannot contemplate. Why don't these boneheads keep their mouths shut or if they have to say something just stick to facts and don't try to be Winston Churchill.

I'm totally behind the stance taken by the anti-vaxers.

Leaves more of the stuff for the rest of us.

Quite happy to see them instead toddling off to Ye Olde Apothecaries Shoppe for their supply of leeches and sulfrus potions ready to battle the ague in their own chosen way.

There’s no legs. The science of Dr Andrew Wakefield was hugely flawed and proven to be hugely flawed.

I have an autism specialist in my close family. To say they were furious with Wakefield is an understatement.

Ta Fred, I couldn't remember his name but knew his theory was proved flawed. All I can remember at that time was GMTV really pushing his theory and having loads of " Scare stories" without any proof. Imagine if the internet and SM was as big then as it is now.

All of this is absolutely nail on head. You can bet your arse every research centre/university/scientist and Govt wanted to be the first to get the vaccine out with some corners cut.
Hancock and Williamson's gloating was indeed way out of line, especially considering that the UK did not discover the vaccine and the vaccine was not produced by a UK company.
They both behaved like two schoolboys - a total embarrassment.
We all really hope that this vaccine works, but the degree to which it works is still not proven beyond doubt. I still think that this virus is far too complex to be beaten by one single vaccine, and fear that a combination of vaccines will be required.

Could be. ....... .
Like many people, I have my doubts about this vaccine, which undoubtedly has been rushed through (no matter what they say). I'm not anti-vaccine per se, but this one
I have some doubts about. Covid seems to be really complicated in the way it effects so many people in so many different ways, so I just feel that one type of vaccine type
may not be enough, but hopefully it will help..
PS. Don't forget Russia's Sputnik vaccine....

Jeez, if you think I'm going to have 50% Novichok injected in me..!

How are things in the East Indies. I read cases were back up on the rise out there?
