How do you define a “proper Tory” Tavers ?
Hmmm.
Free marketeers with a liking for privatisation and outsourcing, with that usually comes a general antipathy towards the Unionised public sector. Those are some of the negatives, the positives are pro business and pro family, self reliance and aspiration of the individual.
There’s probably lots more.

Here's the latest thinking from Al's favourite Doom & Gloom Merchant:

Schools may need to close to some year groups in order to get control over the coronavirus infection rate, a former government adviser has warned.
Prof Neil Ferguson, whose advice led to the lockdown in March, said the current restrictions on household mixing "should have a significant effect".
But he said beyond that there was a "limit to what we can do" without sending some school year groups home.

Family values innit. The Nuclear family supposedly strengthens the wider fabric of society and is traditional Conservative territory.

As this guy has been wrong in everything he has “modelled” to date I am surprised anyone takes any notice of him.

What does pro family mean?
From history, it means proclaiming how important the family unit is whilst banging someone who isn’t your wife at the same time.
