.
Difficult is it? At least it's good news for the economy and for jobs.
Your Zoom contact with U.K. sources seems not to have informed you that booking anywhere in the U.K. this summer is very difficult and very expensive. I also heard on the wireless that the restrictions on foreign travel are having serious effects on the travel industry with thousands of jobs threatened.

Not all good news.

So? What was your point?
Egg understood. Stop being lazy and read the thread properly.

Not a good time to book a holiday abroad. Losing hundreds of pounds through cancellations because a country changes from green code to amber or having to face a 10-day quarantine on return seems like far too much hassle. It's a free country and people can choose what they want to do, but I can't understand why they don't just have a holiday in the UK, which would also help the ailing hospitality trade.

I would love to go abroad and was seriously contemplating booking a holiday to Portugal, so yesterday’s news scuppered that. I’ve got a week in Newquay booked in august but I’m not massively looking forward to it. It’ll be OK but no doubt it’ll take me 10 hours to get there and it will be rammed. Far better to be in Portugal. Never mind though, it’s a first world problem.

Fed Express?
Not definitely a bat, y'know. Likely, but we'll never know

The numbers are creeping back up. Will the third wave be a steep curve, or just a gentle one given the numbers of people in this country vaccinated. I still retain an optimism that June 21st will happen as expected though with restrictions on international travel.
