Tenko - it was like It Ain't Half Hot Mum goes woke.
Bit of a crass comment.

Floating around on Film 4, is the film Master and Commander(2003) with Russell Crowe. I had not seen this film before, It’s well worth a watch if you see in on Film 4 schedule.
Set in 1805, it’s about a Frigate hunting down a larger French privateer, in the Atlantic & Pacific.

Comfortably mid-table
60s radio staying with relatives in Kent.
Radio 1 on 247 (which had been the BBC Light Programmes)
Dial to the right for Radio Caroline and Radio London (Big L)
Dial to the left for Radio Luxembourg.
Shortwave sometimes for American Forces Radio from Germany.
All in glorious tinny mono.

Radio 1 sounded much stronger after the move to 275 and 285 (🎶 "one-derfull Radio One!)

Got all the books by Patrick O'Brian. It's some collection of work. It was one film I would have liked to have seen in a series. I still miss the Hornblower TV adaptions and have a small hope they might come back as Ioan Gruffudd has got to Captains age.

David Baddiel: Jews Don't Count on C4. Really good documentary about Jewish people and how antisemitism isn't considered as unacceptable as other forms of discrimination. Think there is a book of the same title.

Looking at the WC coverage on both terrestrial channels, I’m amazed that ITV still employ Graham Souness & Roy Keane for punditry.
Those pair make me want to turn the volume down.

Au contraire. I'd rather watch them every time over their BBC counterparts. But each to their own.
