Reference to The Sullivans is a blast from the past. I seem to remember it being quite a dour programme but then i wouldn't have been the target audience.

Think it was more for the "Housewife" of the time, My mother watched it all the time, It was the Australian version of "A Family At War" which was made over here by Yorkshire TV in the 70's.

My gran always used to watch that along with Sons and Daughters. She generally got stuff done in the morning as she used to watch Take the High Road as well in the afternoon.

It was from being at my gran's that i remember it from. I occasionally went to hers for lunch when i was at school and there used to be kids programmes on at about 12 for an hour or so (like Rainbow, Let's Pretend and that weird thing with a goose or whatever it was, Gideon perhaps?) then it was on after.

BBC4 tonight

First Yes Minister, then Reggie Perrin and (just on now) a retrospective of The Secret Policeman's Ball.

Add a Grecian away win to the mix and just about the cheeriest evening I could think of.

A biography/documentary about the dynasty.

A good 90 minute programme. It was first shown last year. There have been many about the Kennedy Family over the years, this is one of the most interesting I think.
