Watched first season of The Fugitive which was originally broadcast on ABC in 1963. David Janssen(1932-80) in the lead role as Dr Kemble.
It’s wonderfully shot in B & W for the first three seasons(4 in all). There is something about those last days of 1960s American TV series in monochrome with their Hollywood type quality of film production. The lighting always seems perfect.
Love the epilogue at the end of each episode, a trait of US TV drama series for many years.

Used to look forward to each episode. I had forgotten that David Janssen died so young. Booze and chain smoking :(

Trivia time.I was looking up at some of the actors The Fugitive.. The beautiful Susan Oliver(1932-90)was in a couple of episodes which were set in LA & Santa Barbara was also the green dancer in the Star Trek episode The Menagerie (1966 season 1) A striking photo we all remember was used in the end credits.

He was pretty good in Harry O which ran for a couple of seasons in the mid 1970s.

I’d forgotten that he’d died so long ago.

Another link between The Fugitive & Sci Fi is actor Barry Morse(1918-2008) Played the part of Lt Phillip Gerard trying to track down Dr Kemble. The next decade he played Dr Victor Bergman -Science Officer in the 1st series(24 episodes) of Space : 1999. Broadcast in 1975-76.

Actress Pricilla Pointer turned 100 today. Had bit parts several US TV shows in the 1970s & 80s perhaps best remembered as playing Patrica Barnes-Wentworth in Dallas from 1981-83.

Reminds me of a couple of years ago when I was told a former work colleague had died In France(aged 61) where he was living. He was not on any SM & had no contact with his family. I checked with another person who said it was indeed true. Sent out a group text everyone in our social group with the sad news. The person in question was seen walking down Crediton High St last year on a rare visit back to Blighty 😁 Stopped to have a chat with a gas engineer he recognised 🤣
The confusion was his former wife, her 2nd husband had died who was the same age as the person in
question 2 + 2 were added together & made 5.

We always said some of the stories in the industry would make a great Sit-Com 😎
