IMO the best series of the Blackadder story, Brilliant writng and acting and showed the futility of WW1 and a waste of a generation, To put humour in all that horror was amazing, The final scene of them going over the top and then the poppy fields was very touching. Not to go "All Politics" on this but Michael Gove tried to use this as "Left Wing Bolshie stuff" when Education Secretary, What Gove obviously didn't get is British satire and making a joke out of a very serious situation is what we British do very well

Absolutely brilliant series.

As you say, the final scene was jaw-dropping in its poignancy.

It is a great series with the final episode "Goodbyeee" being one of the best 30 minutes ever shown on British TV.

A fine cast throughout the series. Geoffrey Palmer(1927-2020) appeared as Field Marshall Haig in the final episode which was broadcast appropriately in the week before Armistice Day.

The excellent 1994 medical drama Cardiac Arrest is being given a airing on BBC4. The first 2 episodes are available on iplayer.
The production is excellent, not as cosy & cuddly as Casualty.

From Pye in 1982 a TV with a teletext printer.
Phillips also had a similar TV(they were basically the same company) Good for printing out holiday offers I’d imagine.
