Paula on Channel 4 at the moment. About the life & death of Paula Yates.

Easy to forget that she came from nowhere to present one of the iconic programmes of the early Channel 4 days. The Tube. She was perfect for that show.
The 2nd part was very insightful & sad.
One of her close friends described the awful time for her after Hutchence died there was the suggestion from the tabloid press that Hughie Green was her father. Her mother had denied ever sleeping with him, she was confident that Jess Yates who she was very close to was her biological father & had a DNA test. What a bombshell that must of been on top of her bereavement
She would rather not have known that Green was her father, only having the test because her mother had lied.

Aye, I wouldn't know what would be more crushing, and she had both those events happen in quick succession. Enough to send anyone over the edge tbh.

15th March 1995

A repeat on BBC2 from 1992 of the first in-depth TV biography of Winston Churchill in 4 parts.
Shown in the run up to the upcoming 50th anniversary of VE day. It was very good. His time touring the USA in the mid 1930s is often not mentioned. It was covered in this series.
