But have the last 20 years been because of the Trust, or are they merely coincidental? Say what you like, but the outward appearance of the Trust to me IS one of village fete committees more interested in procedure and Supporters Direct than actually governing the football club. Some people just love being on a committee - when's the next cake sale and bring and buy sale?
So, are you standing next year. Got my vote.

Nope. There'd be nothing to do, my biros are all perfectly lined up and colour ordered too, and I believe the jumble sale isn't due to be held until the year after.

This is true, however it does take up an awful lot of time and effort - even at AGM level as mentioned further up. I agree with a lot of what's been said on the matter, and have said it myself previously, we are a football club first and everything else else second. We devote so much time and energy into ensuring every cause is fully supported and integrated (which isn't a bad thing) that it does appear we we take our eyes off the ball regarding governance and the performance of the club board and performances on the pitch.

If there is no club, there's no community involvement or initiatives.
The community are the fans, and perhaps more importantly the fans of the future. It will grow the fanbase, which helps the club long term.

Ah well, life goes on at Moxey Towers regardless. Perhaps you could even make a film out of it ? How about "Carry On Cleaning The Campervan ", it could turn out to be comedy gold ?

I have a man that does that for me. However, life indeed does go on, whether we have a football club or not. At least we'll have plenty of jumble sales and brick-a-brack sales to go to though.

But we never have any such events, yet we have a successful football club which is fan-owned. Your criticism is so hyperbolic it removes any merit it may have had.
