On a more serious note, there's a distinct lack of youth amongst the candidates. Is the Trust doing anything to engage the under 40s?

Or are the yout too busy smoking vapes and eating fake mate to care?

Guilty- part time vaper but full time vegetarian! Trouble is at 31, I probably have as little in common to a 16/17 year old as someone in their 50s. However, I will see what I can do (next year). Good luck to everyone standing this time

I watched for a short while, shame not all of the candidates were present. Seemed to run quite well though, the IT worked (generally) and Pete is an excellent host of these types of events.

I do have one question about the process though - were the candidates given the questions they were asked in advance? If not then I think they should be, we’d get a much more rounded and considered answer that way and, as a result, it would be more valuable in terms of the decision making process.

I’ve just voted for my four anyway. Good luck to all candidates.

Thank you for your comments , apologies for the hicup half way through ! Delibrately didn't let the candidates know in advance , as I wanted so see them thinking on their feet !!
