GC saying he wants a squad of 24 or 25 but I assume the first year pros won’t be included in that? I suspect most of, if not all of them, will be loaned out.

If that’s the case we have 10 or 11 spaces to fill. K Mac and Grounds may well sign on to fill a couple of those spots.
He said 8-11 signings so that's correct

Listened to the My New Football Club podcast and some of the names mentioned by the ‘transfer expert’ were hilarious. He said the likes of Rak Saki who’s just tore it up at Charlton on loan from Palace, David McGoldrick, Cameron Brannigan at Oxford who’s been courted by big clubs in the past, Sam Smith at Cambridge who will definitely get a decent move.

In fairness I’d say David Earl came up with some the better suggestions, certainly more realistic ones anyway!

Transfer Andy was appalling last year when they had him on and just as bad this time. He seems to have a friend who is an Orient fan and provided the names of two or three Orient players and the rest came from those ridiculous 'in the know' Twottercaccounts.

My favourite bit by far though was when David Earl asked him about the 'bombshell' he'd mentioned at the start of the pod which turned out to be that his 'sources' had told him Jev might be out of contract at the end of the season 🤣🤣🤣

That was hilariously poor from Andy!!

I also remember the last time he was on that he said our record transfer was Marcus Stewart…! He was obviously a free transfer.

An article in the Athletic a (behind a paywall) lists Wrexham's needs this summer in the transfer market. Seemed to me some of City's out of contract players might fit the bill. Wrexham apparently need..

A first choice goalkeeper unless Ben Foster signs on again. Jamal? MLS connection/exposure?

A left wing back. Jack Sparkes? Good enough to get a promotion from League Two even if his defensive weaknesses were exposed in League One. Jack would fit well in a side whose main need was to break down opposition, rather than spending lots of time defending. Jack might not be first choice but a possible Plan C or D for Wrexham?

A holding midfielder. I'm not sure what emphasis there is on the 'holding' element. But in other respects KMcD and Archie Collins would be distressingly good fits...

A striker. The article lists a number of possibles, some of whom are understandably dismissed as 'probably too similar to Paul Mullin'. This made me think about forwards who could play off the main striker and both get lots of assists *and* goals like ...erm... Jevani.
