I remember a young lad called Niall Thompson when i used to watch Torquay. Burst onto the scene and the quickest i'd ever seen. However, as it turned out he couldn't score, couldn't cross and couldn't do anything much other than run fast up and down the wing. He's been at Truro City now for a number of years so obviously his promising career didn't last long.
