I didn’t think we were allowed the likes of Kellow and Banks hence my early post querying it.
Of course they’d be top of the pile along with Binney and Beer and don’t forget Stevie Neville and while we’re at it I’ll throw in Ted Calland.Well , I remember him anyway. But as I say Mike I think we’re debarred from including all of them!
You'r right, Banksy. The OP just says the modern era but maybe I stretched that too far.
I just can't leave Banksy out, though. I must have goT his autograph a million times wheN I was a kid hanging out at the back of the OG
Pity that all my old scrapbooks were left behind.

As a historian, I often muse over what constitutes "modern" and "history".

I'd venture that the "modern era" started not with the PL in 1993 but when Sky TV started paying them gazillions. Its difficult to say when the takeoff wss, but perhaps 2001 when it first went over the billion pound mark?

Which is a convoluted way of saying "the last 20 years".

I forgot Steve Neville. how is that possible? well in his first spell with us he was more of winger, whereas in the championship winning team he was more of a striker. And I couldn't give a monkey's what I'm "allowed". Write who you like in your list, it's not like we have fifty names to choose from even going back in our oldest supporters' lifetimes. It's only opinions anyway
