Highfield Road too until they were banned after a irate Coventry supporter in one drove it onto the pitch at the ref after the game 😁
They don't look too safe either, You wouldn't want to be in an accident in one of them.

Yep..Fibreglass construction(not the super tough stuff of today)
The stricter safety crash conditions for cars from around 1973 on scuppered them.

There were still a few around in the late 1970s early 80s.
There was a disabled young man who had one who lived off of Union St in Plymouth in the flats opposite the Octagon.
I often saw him along Union St as i was driving back to St Judes after College. He had Super Spazz stencilled down both sides !!..He always raised a smile from anyone who saw it.

Weren't these produced locally, out near Exeter Airport ? On the North side of the Old A30 there was a hangar which could only be reached by crossing the road, iirc in the 1960s this was used for manufacturing them, although there may have been other sites elsewhere in the country ?

Used to have a colleague, now retired, who had been disabled since birth and was determined to learn to drive a 'proper' car because he didn't like what he called the 'spazzmobiles'. I also had a non-disabled colleague who drove one because you didn't need a full drivers' licence...

They were not allowed on the Motorway network.
Not seen one of these signs for a bit.

The slow handclap at football games from home supporters for a dismal display.
