In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
There was a Our Price in High Street just up from the Guildhall on the corner of Waterbeer Street in the early 1980s.
Virgin Records had a store initially in Queen St 1980 to around 1982/3

Binary Star, Little Castle Street (I think) , towards Timepiece/ Hole In The Wall, not yet had a mention.

I got a second and copy of 'Playing The Game' or whatever the City single was called from Catapilla. I also remember a court case where someone had nicked a CD from HMV, taken it (almost) round the corner to Catapilla and flogged it to them.

Another place in town that sold vinyl albeit briefly in the late 70s early 80s was Debenhams on the lower ground floor..I remember buying a Lene Lovich album there for a bargain £1.99.

What was the name of the record shop above Mad Megs in Fore St? Early 90s. It would be where the Bike Shed is now.

Destiny One...I got some gems from there.A bootleg vinyl of Demos from the Stranglers,Aural Fantasy was its name, plus other unofficial live recordings on vinyl from The Ruts.
Pat Rice - not that one - who ran Destiny One, I believe, is still trading online. My brother found him when looking for prog rock, and Mr Rice was using the Queens Road Auction Rooms address (I think).
