I know it would have been a bit crafty also but if the EFL said ST Holders of this season and next up to a max of 10k if the EFL gave the clubs more time between semi finals and final, The club could of made a pretty penny out of it.

Still waiting to hear if we will get any compensation from the EFL. We've had to.unfurlough players, pay for testing, pay for hotel and transport costs. I know it"s a nice problem to have but if Taggy says it's costing us 150k at least we shouldn't be out of pocket

The dangerous bits of going to watch a football match, especially lower league or non league, are not so much in the sitting/standing watching but more in things like going to a crowded pub before/after and travelling by public transport such as the underground .

No pubs open tomorrow, Face masks for public transport, It could of been done. But unfortunately those in charge have decided no fans allowed. But the one unique thing about ECFC is "We Own Our Football Club" Therefore as owners we should be allowed in! Sorted! 👍🤔😉😄

Good shout DB, and even if they gave us a limited amount we could have held a draw for them, as per the "Director for the day" scheme ! :)

Always a solution CB, Just need a bit of lateral thinking! 👍

Another aspect to next season too which Hants post has just reminded me of is that of the cost of testing should the season re start. How are clubs in the lower leagues and non leagues expected to pay for regular testing? With this in mind surely the money has to come from the authorities or the season simply cannot be started anyway?

So therefore we either get back to normal with full crowds and non testing of players or the majority of football cannot be played.

Great point SB.

This would be unworkable. Especially at half time. Absolutely no chance of regulating fans going in and out of the toilets. All in all it points to things either being back to normal or no point in starting the season really IMO. There are just too many hurdles to be overcome.
